CYPRUS COLLEGE - THE ERASMUS PROGRAM
Erasmus is a European Union funded program which aims at improving the quality of higher education and strengthen its European
dimension. It does this by encouraging transnational cooperation between universities, fostering the European mobility of students
and teachers, and contributing to improved transparency and academic recognition of qualifications and studies throughout the
European Union.
Cyprus College has been participating at the Socrates-Erasmus program since 2002 and it has agreements with numerous universities in
Europe of a variety of disciplines. The Socrates-Erasmus Office coordinates all Erasmus activities.

CYPRUS - A GREAT PLACE TO STUDY
Cyprus is the third largest Mediterranean island with a total area of 3,572 sq.miles (9,251 sq.Km.). Cyprus enjoys four seasons, and day temperatures ranges between 10-35 degrees centigrade. The main language is Greek but English is widely spoken and used in business and commercial transactions.
Cyprus College is located in Nicosia, the capital of Cyprus. With a population of over 200,000, Nicosia has it all, something for everyone, every season of the year. Its proximity to the mountains and the sea makes it ideal for year –round outings. It is a truly cosmopolitan city with luxury hotels, markets, shopping centers, restaurants, cafes, theaters, art galleries and sporting centers. Although the standard of living compares favorably with other European countries, the cost of living is still relatively low. Cyprus has an excellent climate and is a very popular holiday resort with approximately 2,000,000 visitors every year enjoying the warm Cypriot hospitality.
